Campus Green matching question

Do we have any RRB members who are experts with Schwinn color matching? I know Pete from Hyper-formance sells a Campus Green rattle can kit, but the base coat is silver with candy green over it. As you can see below, my bike has a brownish red underneath. Is that the primer? I also see silver where it's scratched. Is that the coat under the green? How much does primer affect the paint if you have a base layer under a candy?

I would say that the bike in your pic was a factory repaint.With paint jobs Ive helped with over the years if you like the color it is, layer the colors back the same way. I would do some spray samples first.
back in the 90s when I worked for DAS we had problems with the burnt pumpkin color Nissan had out because in Japan they used one tone of gray primer while we used a darker tone gray primer and even tho you couldnt see the color difference inside you could when sun light hit it.

All of Schwinn's 60s-70s metallic colors used a silver basecoat, and most had red primer. So, touching up is tricky! -Adam
