So I have this Murray Klunker, it’s a cheapo cruiser bike frame with nothing exceptional about it except for the fact that I used it to practice applying Cerakote, and can therefore never sell it.
It currently has a Schwinn rat trap style rear rack with a giant basket on it, but I really want a sort of Cycletruck arrangement for more load carrying (grocery shopping) ability. I do not want a strut/handlebar mounted giant Wald up front-too flexy.
So I don’t know much about trail and flop and what have you, which is why I am here. What should stop me from putting a 1” steerer Clydesdale fork (besides actually finding one) on this Murray? Considering the fork will be worth probably three times the bike, but also I’m not concerned with that because I’m not buying a different bike, is there any ride quality or handling issue I should worry about?
Thanks in advance everyone.
