He has re-listed the bike, it is on currently and the bidding starts at $1200.00. The seller lists bicycles frequently and his paint jobs are very nice looking. Typically the bikes he offers have been refurbished with many modern and newer parts where the originals would have been difficult to find and expensive to restore to the level of his paint work. Considering the market value of the underlying bikes and the amount of skilled labor invested I don't think his bikes are overpriced but they are not accurate restorations so he may be missing one of the key markets that would be interested at that price level.

Yeah, I've bought quite a few parts from him, usually I wait for 'em to list a few times and the price goes down. He's reasonable, but these days I don't buy any parts unless it's a real bargain! ~Adam

I've seen that bike...I noticed all the non-correct, too new for the frame parts on it too. If that guy figures that thing is worth $1200 because of a pretty paint job, I wonder what he'd value mine at..I mean, mine has all period correct parts on it, and it's even powder coated.

i think it is a very nice rider of a resto. i doubt that he will get 1200 but who knows. a bike is worth what someone will pay for it, at one point i was offered 5,000 cash for "the higgins" and i turned it down cause it was so special to me. and it is far far from original

LOL, speaking of being special, I decided it was too cold out in the garage, so I brought my bike inside.

One of these days, I'll have to build a rat bike that I'm not worried will get scratched.
