:?: This is an old bike of my father's that i am wanting to restore but i have no idea what model it is! I do know from the badge on the front that it is a huffy. I have determined that it was made in 1951 from the first letter of the serial number and from talking to family. Does anyone know the model of this bike? The original color on the fender was red with white pinstripe.

Any type of information would help! Does anyone have pictures of a bike like this i could get, i haven't been able to find much on the net.

It has to be a '61. Schwinn's exclusive patent on their cantilever frame didn't expire until mid-late 1957. Almost all bike co.'s came out with their own versions of cantilever frames in 1958. That being said, without a chainguard or tank with a name on it, it could be any model in the 61 line. And welcome to the forum btw! -Adam

Thanks! That is awesome information. I talked to a person at Huffy customer service and he told me it was probably a 1957-1958 huffy fury and that the first letter of the serial wasn't a date code that long ago. That Huffy didn't start encoding dates in the serial until early 70's.

Now for the next question... does anyone have any good pics of a original '57 or '58 Huffy FurY?
