I'm going to need some help here.

I'm in the process of using an euro bottom bracket adapter in a workman frame. The issue I am having is trying to figure out what bottom bracket I need to make sure my chain line works. I will be using a nexus 3speed rear but have no clue what to do up front.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not too sure what your worries are. Seems as though your chainline will remain the same, and a Nexus 3-i lines up about the same as a coaster hub, ifso-facto, no worries! Am I missing something here?

Chain lines matter. But generally single speeds/Nexus 3 line well enough. Depending on the crank you use, it can be adjusted to the inside or outside of the spider on the crank arm.

my challenge is that I'm going from and American 1 piece bottom bracket to a euro 3 piece bottom bracket. Euro bottom bracket come in several widths to allow for proper chain line in one a multi geared bike. I just don't know what size i will need to make sure i line up with the rear hub.

OK, Gotcha. If it were me, I would probably start with some measurements. If you dont have a caliper, Harbor Freight sells a 6" digital caliper that does metric and standard for right at $10.00. Pretty handy item and pretty hard to beat at that price. Mock it up first w/a 1 pc. crank set up and measure the span, use metric as your euro type bottom bracket will be measured this way. Go from there!

I've had 2 Nexus 3 speeds on American BB and they line up just fine. I had to spread the drop outs on one frame slightly. If you could measure an American BB that might tell you which European to buy. You will like the 3 speed!

Had to adjust the line on my last build the hub was an Inter 4 Shimano the cog is dished and I just removed it and flipped it. Got about 1/4" towards the wheel.
