+1 on the fender brace. Looks like a Monark or Hawthorne if I'm not mistaken.

He was shot down by the Germans and she never got to see him or know him. Hard to imagine.

I love old Polaroids pictures like this! :D
 
Those guys had you know what's I met a guy out at our airport when the Memphis Belle B-17 was out there for repairs the guy was a tail gunner on this plane what a tough old dude I don't think I would want tangle with him even now. He kinda got tears in his eyes talking about it while we where there he took the old guy for one last ride he was smiling from ear to ear.

I bought a pre war bike last week and it had those tires on it
They are "Gillette Bear" tires
