Last year, like many of you, I put a bicycle in the front yard, lined it with lights and had my bicycle themed Christmas decorations. This year I decided to go bigger.

I bought 8 pieces of 10' long plastic conduit and made this:

Not very impressive in the day, it stops traffic as people do a double take at night:

Merry Christmas!

There are no new ideas anymore, so have at it!

It was pretty cheap, the wheels are 2 pieces of conduit attached (they come with flared ends) and stand at 6' tall. I laid out the wheels in the yard and laid the other conduit in place, used my torch to heat and bend them, then duct taped everything together. Then taped it up to a couple metal fence posts driven into the yard and wrapped with lights. It's pretty floppy, but holding up fine.

Yeah, but for the sake of simplicity and cost, I left it basic, additionally the chaser lights (with their extra wiring) are a bit heavier than a regular strand of lights and I didn't want to put up extra support poles to keep the wheels from sagging.

People are still stopping to admire it, many people turn when they see me in the yard to compliment me on it.
