Chromed stingray jr?

I picked this up today. It appears to be a chromed stingray jr with a krate springer fork.

Was this ever a factory option or did someone actually have this chromed?

Not an option from Schwinn. What is the serial number? It looks like a legit Schwinn frame, the other parts look like aftermarket low-rider stuff

The serial number is for a 1976. The headbadge is white with blue letters. I have seen that on other bicentennial bikes. I'm thinking of making a mini "krome krate" out of it.
The 16" wheel looks really small. I may look for a narrow 20" wheel and tire.

Very Cool bike all chrome. I would add a silver seat and take the fenders off. Put a Sport Mag on and be done. Great Score!!

This mini mag is the biggest gear I could fit on the front. (Is this the same thing?) I am not so sure about the fenders myself. These were just rested in place for a mock up. I have a chromed stick shift. I think if I find a 3 speed hub and use the shifter I will add the fenders but for now I think it will stay fenderless.
