Seems like people are doing some spring cleaning and I was able to pick these up for low low prices.

This Western flyer is in really nice original shape but for the grips and tires. Paint is really good and should clean up nicely. It's got a nice troxel seat and new departure hub and brake. I'm thinking late 40's or more likely 50's? Any one have an idea. You KC area guys would appreciate the head badge as it's the old Western Auto sign down town that has that red "wrap around" arrow.

I also picked up this 1968 Murrary Eliminator that someone thoughtfully sprayed with silver paint. It's mostly all there except for the pedals and the seat is even pretty well intact. Need one little part for the shift cable too. And lots of paint thinner to remove that silver. The paint and the decals are really under there somewhere.

Should have the serial number stamped under the BB. A letter and 5 numbers. Looks like post-war Cleveland Welding.

Nice finds. That stinks about the Murray Eliminator. Someone went crazy. It will look good once the silver is gone though. :D The chain guards are the coolest parts of those bikes in my opinion.

Didn't George Barris design that chainguard?

Yep started taking the paint off of the Murray. I thought the best choice would be paint thinner but when it ate through my latex glove I decided it could be a bit harsh on the seat!

Been getting good results with a wet wet brillo pad. Really pretty good chrome, good paint and even the decals are under there. It's an F3 Eliminator.

I'll post some pics of the changes soon.
