Click sticks with Nexus hubs?

Pretty simple question really. Will a shimano click stick chifter work with a newer Nexus three speed hub? Any help would be appreciated as ebay time is running out.

There is another thread on this I think. My click stick works on my new Sturmey 3 speed. I bet it would work on the nexus. I think I've seen someone on here do it too.

The click stick works perfectly with the nexus hub, I've put about 15 miles on the bike so far with it set up and had no problems. I had to get a NOS cable since the end threads into the shifter, but they are plentiful on ebay.
