I have an opportunity to buy a Schwinn Deluxe 7. It is new, but not really a rat. The asking price is 150.00. it's all decked out with the tank, fenders, light, rack...everything. It's green and white. Any thoughts on buying something already pimped?

Delux 7 ,I imagine ,means it has a Nexus 7 Speed..
which is worth $150.00 Alone with The wheel!
for that price ( my opinion ) is yaa can't beat it.
It sounds like a Great Platform for a Cool Rat..
or leave her as is ....as a Cosy, Reliable, Cool Looking Bike.

id pck it up for that there are about three of the repro delux 7 full dress bikes on the seattle craigslist all around $450 each.... thats a good price $479.95 on the schwinn site
I'd buy it JUST for the 7 Speed..
I love my Nexus 3 Conversion I did..
and a Nexus 7 would be killer!
I have been looking for a good deal on a Bike with a 7 on it..
and if that one was in my neck of the woods I'd buy it..
.....Replace the back wheel with a Single speed,
and sell the Bike on Craigslist for $100.00 :wink:
