Add on craigs list said Columbia Clipper, 1930's-40's....$100. Boy was he disappointed, when I told him the bike was from the 80's. Expained to him about the MTB type fork, thumb shifters, sticker for a head badge etc., etc. He said his local bike shop told him it was from the 30's.......Two minutes later it was in my truck, almost free....I like the frame. I'll either use it or give it.

What if it was old and someone harrased it with new gears and a fork?! Lol pretty cool looking ride though.

Serial # was stamped on the side of the head tube.......seat and baskets are in great shape. The last time I rode a bike with baskets was 1964. I used to be able to put 25 newspapers in each side. My life is starting to go backwards now............can't wait til I'm back in diapers.

For future reference, Columbia didn't make cantilever bikes until around 1960. It was a patented trademark of Arnold Schwinn 'til some time in the 50's.
