Can anyone ID the model or year of this bike approximately? Ad says 30's but I'm not sure about that. Any help would be appreciated. Also is the asking price appropriate for this bike?

I really hate crappy pictures. You can't tell if its a skiptooth, rear facing drop outs or headbadge bolt positions. Try to get the serial number from the seller and I can tell you the year. From the truss rod style looks a bit older than the 50's.
