Greetings folks! We have a few rides scheduled this year in Eastern Connecticut, combining our Rat Rod and vintage Schwinn groups with the new organization, Bike New London.
BIKE NL is an advocacy group, all volunteers of course, promoting interests of cyclists and public safety in New London CT and the entire region. We have had success in the last two years getting bike lanes restored and installed, new signage and pavement markings, and several new bicycle racks installed around the city.
We also run a free Bike Share program, where users can give a deposit, use a bicycle for an hour or a day, and return the bike to receive their deposit back. This is entirely community-funded and available to residents and visitors. Our program reopens for the season on May 1st.
