Just wanted to share that. I had a Brooks that was too soft, probably from the olive oil I retardedly put on it. I maxed out the tension bolt. Found out you dip it in boiling water for a few seconds and the baby hardens up. Might be useful if you have a leather seat that's too squishy. Just do it very quick, like 30 seconds and it's like you have a new seat again. It's probably significantly if not severely weakened, but in this case it made the seat usable again. Baboom.
 
In hot water,leather will shrink drastically and partly gelatinize, becoming rigid and eventually brittle.
for amour, its great! for seats, well i don't advise you pass on this info, you've probably shorted the seat life considerably. instead of stretching again, your seat will be more prone to ripping and tearing.
