ANT is a custom frame builder from MA that also has a frame building class. His bikes do cost a bit more than most of us spend, but they are well thought out using top end components. His most recent blog posting has some cool chainrings for sale to fit a one piece crank. The look a little expensive but also well made.

FIFY. ANTBike Make Flannigan works for Seven now; he got his start at Fat City WBITD. Always liked his designs; rarely liked the prices. One of very few custom builders who spec'd one-piece cranks on some of his completes....

I like that sprocket. Paul Price made a similar one, but it is proprietary and only fits Paul cranks. Profile made one too, and had a bunch NOS until recently, but those had a 7/8" bore.... no go on a OPC, without modification. But, at $50 shipped, i might grab one of these, to remember ANT by....

I must of missed that blog post on my RSS feed. Too bad he could not make it all work.

The way I see it, he had a good run. He went for like over a decade, made a huge name for himself, and helped change how ppl viewed the bicycle. Now, he's got a nice gig at Seven; he'll be brazing lugged steel frames for them, apparently, which will be different than the TIG stuff he generally did at ANT and Fat City, but he'll have the added stability of working for a bigger company; I'm thinking steadier pay, probably a benefits package? Mike did well, and he's still doing well.... i'd trade jobs with him in a heartbeat.

$50 seems pretty reasonable for a custom chainring....especially one as cool as that one.

If you look at the sprocket, it says "Bomber Cycles USA"-- an outfit i've never heard of. Maybe ANT was trying to branch out into a line of components? Maybe he had someone else make'm for him? Not sure, but i still my have to get one...

I was trying to read that but didnt' want to stand on my head... Here is one installed and well used.
