Cool Hawthorne COOOOL Seat.

A friends Mom called me, asked if i wanted this old bike, i said...YES...what is it? She didnt know, i went to see it,Cool old Hawthorne 26" cruiser,have a good history on the bike,was "customized" in 1963,sat in a basement from 1964 till lastnight.The seat is a Persons brand,sweet Cheetah spots and is in MINT condition w/ original sticker.The bike has a nice protective coating of 45 years of dryer lint and not a spot of rust...FRESH FIND!! Oh Oh Yeah!!!

any ideas of the year or model this might be? It has twin top bars if that helps?? I know its atleast a 61 62.

Connected holes in the long dropouts, triangular cutouts in the chainring, and chainguard style pin this a s a Snyder built bike. Could've been a Rollfast, Hawthorne, or Firestone around that era. No serial decoding on these-yet. -Adam

Ahh, i did find a stamp on the dropouts out back...SE with a circle around it, i have a 20" rollfast with the same stamp..maybe related?

I'm thinkin on puttin the seat on my 53 Western Flyer Muscle Bike.It had a Persons on it,needs refinnished,this Leapord-Cheetah seat will look so sweet.

those persons polo cheetah seats can be worth a pretty penny! and it has the correct bent back sissy bar to go with it.
