Yep. They usually run these as "blind and sealed"

Bid whatever you are willing to part with to win the item but know that you could be paying far more than you "needed" to. I've done a few of these for motorcycle collectibles in the past and been very sad after some investigative work to see where we landed. You win the item but knowing that the 2nd highest bid was hundreds of dollars below yours can sting sometimes
