couple girls bikes

Done a little picking today and after digging thru a bunch of WM bikes I came out with these 2 not sure of the years
20 in schwinn

26 in higgins

Any input on what year the JC Higgins would be great. Know its missing the rods on fork and the light on the fender

I believe the Schwinn is late 70s early 80's due to dropouts on the fork.

The Higgins is 1950s goodness due to rack and guard.

Fun bikes regardless of age.

The schwinn was kind of one of those things that you have to throw in the a deal to make it worth your time digging and money. Plan on using the front rim off it to replace my daughters front rim on her fairlady until we can find S tires for it. The higgins is going to be rebuilt I havent decided if it will be just a clean up and rider or a complete custom build

I'd say the JC Higgins could be a 57, here's a page from the 57 Sears Christmas catalog I found while researching my 56 JCH.

Had a little time today so I tried airing up the tires on the Higgins and the held air and I actually rode it for a few minutes. It should be a nice rider after its tuned up.
