so thats about 9-10 lbs, definately not for the roadies but for cruisers,utility bikes and mtb's, seems pretty simple and reliable.

Ehh, I'd say just cruisers for now.

I really like these hubs. From what I hear they are pretty reliable and strong. Not like a Rolhoff but good. People have been putting them on Xtracycles with good luck. Val that makes the centerstands in Seattle has one on Dreadnought.
