The Cedar Rapids Retro Rider bike club had their first show labor day weekend and it was a blast. Temps in the 70's, sunny skies, great food, cool bands playing all day long and, of course, very cool bikes. Here are some pic from the day.

Nice day with lots of bikes and great people.

This is just a small sampling of a great event that we hope will be even bigger and better next year.

Is this scheduled for next year at the same time? Use to live there so have lots of friends I would love an excuse to see.

The large crowds and all the tents were not part of our bike show, rather we were a part of it. Our show was help along with a large art festival and our setup was right in front of the bandstand. All day long there were several bands playing and they were all pro and very good. Also top notch food from local high end resturants was available. We held our own though and had lots of interested people and bike lovers from all over the area stop by and chat.

This was our first show for our new club and I think there was about 30 or so bikes. Next year we hope to hold it the same labor day weekend and promote it well in advance now that we know what to expect. Great food, great music and stuff for all the family to do including the kids. A really great time and I hope some of you can make next year.

Thanks,
paul
