It appears that there was an error on their website over the weekend! They called to tell me they would not be able to fill my order for the Thick Bricks! Drats!!!! DOUBLE DRATS!!!!!! Guess I WON'T be participating in the "Cream Thick Bricks" sub-build!

But the silver lining.......I get a free Felt T-shirt! Oh well......I'd rather have the tires!

Thanks for letting me vent!

I just got the same call, and I have to say I'm not surprised.
Felt's customer support for their cruiser line is the worst I've ever experienced.
Their parts are frequently out of stock, their prices are outrageous, sometimes it takes six months just for simple parts to come back in stock, hardly any bike stores carry their parts, they outright refuse to sell head badges, and now this.
To make up for the error, the solution is to send a shirt so I can walk around advertising their brand.
No thanks!

I received an ORDER confirmation, but no SHIPPING confirmation. I emailed for a shipping tracking number, and then they called me.

Maybe you're one of the lucky ones....... :p

I received my first order a few weeks ago.

For this order ($7.50), I already received teh UPS Shipping confirmation.

If this happens to anyone else and you are mad enough at Felt not to wear their t-shirt, I'm a large and I need a shirt... I mean, I have a special furnace for burning t-shirts and it only accepts large shirts.

I like your post. I was thinking of asking gamebent to forward that shirt to me. :)

I have to agree with gamebent on the customer service issue that they have.

Im just hoping for a sticker (for my collection) with my tires but a tee shirt would be even cooler. I mean really you lost out on the tires but your getting a free shirt, FREE being the word there. Ive figured out since i came to this site the time to get the deal is when you first see it. Ive been lucky and got in on both the porkchop sale and the felt tire deal. Just wish someone would have a killer deal on cruiser seats now

At least you got a call and a t-shirt. So far I got nada...
April Fools... :(

A free shirt isn't worth squat if you don't want to advertise the brand.

I'll take any free shirt even if I dont want to advertise a brand name. I wear them when I know theres no chance of keeping the shirt clean lol IE working on my bikes or my truck, being a chiefs fan and living in skins land for years I got alot of work shirts given to me

Ok my two cents worth I work in service parts sales for a heavy equipment manufacturer. This was the weekend and I am sure there system forecasted sales once the stock depleted the system generated a new order and let the next round of sales go thru. This stocking point should have been turned off once the tires went on clearance (human error). To be fair 95% of the sales where most likely generated thru this and maybe a couple other sites. I bet they are in awe of the number of orders placed between Friday and Monday. I too am disappointed but find it hard to be mad, it was an honest mistake. Yes it would be nice to have been one of the people who got the deal but.. Let’s face it 75% off was close out bargain basement price and the numbers had to be limted. I am sure someone is setting on multiple sets waiting to make a buck. That’s OK too it’s what America is all about. Again my two cents

Nail on the head, Jim! I spoke with Felt this evening, and that's almost exactly what happened. He stated that their "system" doesn't update on the weekends. So, the "system" thought that Saturday's inventory was the same as Friday's, so it kept sellin'!

They could not believe the response they got from the clearance! They wondered where in the world did all this interest come from. I told him from here, RRB! I think they might be looking in to our little piece of heaven to lay a finger on the pulse of our sub-culture! They might even bring the creams back solely due to OUR interest. I did tell him that we liked the tires, but we loved the prices, too.

Guys that ordered but won't receive, you just might be getting another call................just sayin'!

That makes a lot of sense. It's funny but I didn't bite when they were $15 on the thread I started. Didn't really have a project. At $7.50 didn't need a project so I tried too but no. Saw a call from CA today but didn't answer. Got this email:

Dear Steve
I’m contacting you about your recent Web Order with us at Feltbicycles.com. Unfortunately, due to high traffic, we had an inventory error with the Thick Brick Antique White 24x3 tires. Please accept our apologies as we will not be able to fulfill your order.

We will be refunding your order for the total amount. In addition to the refund, We’d like to offer you a free T-shirt for this inconvenience. To receive the T-Shirt, we ask that you simply reply to this email with your T-Shirt size(S-XXL). Also, if you have the time, we’d love to find out how you heard about these closeout tires.

Once again please accept our sincerest apologies.
Thank you,
Ben Warren

Not too interested in the Tshirt. An understandable incident, not ticked off.
Hope they start marketing really sweet deals to us though :D
