This is the other side of the hill i live on, over looking the rest of Dartmouth the lake below is is one of many that is usually full of boaters
the next three are of the a fore mentioned lake.
this is one of the 2 bridges linking Halifax and Dartmouth. This is also Halifax harbor its a very deep ice free harbor. It was an integral port of use during ww II. The harbor could be closed off from subs and enemy boats at the mouth. additionally the harbor is surrounded by hills making it easily protected.
this is my apartment parking lot. not much to see here.
one of the most significant things that happened here was an explosion due to 2 ships colliding in the harbor in 1917. And to say thanks to neighboring Boston, who sent doctors, nurses and emergency care in our time of need... we have sent a Christmas tree for Boston square every year since.
