I got this Dawes Galaxy about 2 1/2 years ago from the Quad Bicycles at Harvard University. Over the years I have donated 150 bicycles to Quad Bikes and Bikes not Bombs in Boston, MA. I stripped off the yellow paint and primed it. The handlebars, gooseneck (Cinnelli's) and brakes (Shimano's 600) came from another bike shop on Cambridge, MA. The shifters, rear and front derraillers (Campys Valetinos) came off an abandon Bianci that the Union Cycle shop in Attleboro, MA was throwing out. The Ideal leather saddle came off one of those trash picked bicycles that I found in the Boston area. The cloth tape for the handlebars were found at the Old Spokes Home shop in Burlington, VT. The cranks are original, while the Quill type peddles came off another stray. The front rack/brakes was found at another trip to Quad Bikes. Paint is you basic spray can type.
