How common ( or uncommon) are DBS brand bicycles, made in Norway ? I have one and have never seen another one in person. There is one on ebay right now. Maybe they were sold more in other parts of the country. Mine is not really rat-rod material. I have several three-speed bicycles that I probably won't rat-rod. :?:

I believe DBS was a large manufacturer in their homeland and imported here mostly in the 70's. They probably are more common in some areas of this country than others depending on where they were initially sold. There was at least one dealer in Bellevue Washington that sold the brand in the day.

Periodically, I'll see various German or other European bikes on Craigslist. They're uncommon here, but not valuable. If they were worth more money here due to rarity, they'd just ship in more from Europe. They likely have a similar situation with old Schwinn's in Europe- there's bound to be a few scattered around, but not many, but cheap as dirt here.

I bought a DBS off CL for 20 bucks. I just wanted the 3speed coaster brake and drum hubs. The wheels are probably a French size. Tires can be had but it is one size only 26"x 1 1/2"
