Anyone ever try to mount a derailer on a frame not have a derailer how did you do it

Got a welder, brash I know, its aussie after all.
would you believe I welded this back end on upside down..... needless to say performance wasnt altered, its a hard ride anyway ha ha .
but it did work and still does, its a BMX drop out on this bike, just take a look at the welds holding it on, the over spray the the ...dreadful, this was approx 1 yr ago! ive got better....just a bit. Blue meanie, my first ever full ground up build..

That 'Problem Solvers' adapter/axle adjuster should work fine. This Shimano derailleur is an even simpler solution, and cheaper, at about $15 retail. The model pictured below is a Tourney RD-TY300-SGS. UPC # is 689228393639. The 'blurb' sez:
  • TX models come with Smart Cage which gives MegaRange compatibility with a shorter derailleur cage
  • Includes BMX/track frame hanger
