Five colors and they all blend so well.
It's looking great together

I am glad you think they blend well.

I was worrying the white was a bit bright. The rods are a flat textured offwhite when i touch them i almost expect white oxidation to wipe off on my fingertips. The wheels a white semi gloss, with natural pitted rust texture under it.

Bike looks awesome right there MC ~! I kind of like it without the rack, looks more sleek and those tires show off more.
Thank you OddJob.

I hand tightened the yet unfinished seat and placed it on the bike to see a little better without the rack. Looks very good to me as well!

I think if I am taking it out for a cruise, it may be sans rack. Beer store, still want the rack. ;-)

In the spirit of all that food over on @"Jake Sensi"' and his build... and his grilling such good looking food. Those of us on the west coast get good ideas...

Ribs n Beans... mmm yum

Good move on the blue truss rods. Gotta have the rack on a beer run bike. I think if you got it level with the chain guard it would look killer. Look forward to seeing the seat.

Looking forward to that seat. Are you gonna puch holes in the pan and lace the smaller leather to it?

I liked the blue on them way better than I thought I would. Almost went iron colored.

Refinishing the rack is next on the list.

Rather than punch holes through the pan, I figured I would strap it down.

Measured out and put holes thru the leather.

Sewed the end together. Then got the lock stitcher out

After stitching it up, and stuffing the foam, finally stitched it up tonight

Still need to do the buckles underneath.

Getting closer.

Very inventive! I was wondering how that small cut out leather was going to cover the whole seat. Now I see, it's not intended to!

Looks like you have a good match on the leather stain to the seat pan too.

RaT oN!

I liked the rusty texture under the spray paint and didn't want to cover it, but man that seat is hard... especially when that old coaster kicks back...

And that closed cell foam, I was almost out. So the pattern was based on how much of that rear saving material I has.

Get to keep both ;-)

Ok, I think the seat is done.

Added some navy stitching to the straps to finish it off

Took it on a ride today and re-true'd the wheels half way thru. They were pretty twisted when I started. Seem to be coming out of it.

Picked up a 12 pack, but only set the messenger bag on the rack, as it still needs to be finished.

Almost done, just the rack left. Decided no fenders a week or so ago. Just adds weight for that once every 3 month rain.

That seat needs a RAT face painted on it...with the tongue sticking out!

NICE ride!

That seat pad is cusTom with a capital you-know-what!

How'd you like the overall ride?

It actually rides really nice. Waaay nicer than that hard pan and carriage bolts...

I was glad that I ended up putting black side up. It added the firmness the soft leather side didn't provide. That thicker leather will mold well to the shape of my derriaire after 100 miles or so.

The seat springs are weak. Definitely not meant for my 200lb sit. Had to roll the seat forward at that 30° to get the seat to ride at the right angle.

So far so good. 2 miles around the big block today. Need the 25 mile ride next weekend to pass final judgement ;-)
