Banana seats are always a bit different. What you have done looks fine to me...
Normally I would say that you don't need the two outer plates, but that appears to be a plastic pan, so I would keep them to give it some extra support.

Ya, I left the plates on because of the plastic pan. The plastic pan was why I questioned the setup. Didn't seem like it would be very strong. Also I should mention that only the metal plates on the outside are from the seat I used the rest from a seat off a 69 Schwinn Breeze. I may think about rotating it the other way. Thanks for answering me.
i once just drilled the seat post and bolt it directly to the seat with no clamps , banana seats hang from 2 point (sissy bar) so the seat post don't really "need" a seat clamp anyways :wink:
