I'm guessing it is a model "c" which should be designated by a "c" in a circle on the brake arm. Obviously "c" came before "d" but many of the parts are interchangable. If it isn't a "c" but is actually an unmarked "d", then I haven't a clue.

After the New Departure model D was the Mattatuck model E. I Can't remember if the internals were the same as the D? Then there was the NK made in China. The NK's were similar to the D, but dimentionally different internally.

If it's unmarked, but looks like a D and is from a 50's bike, there is almost zero different about them. No oil port in the casing and the shims are a little thicker, but they will interchange. The hardware on the lockring is a little different, but it all plays together fine.
