I think a "like" is pointless without a "dislike" counter-part. A ying for the yang, so to speak.

I finally found a support post on what the whole points thing was supposed to do and it just seemed really pointless to me.

I'd rather ditch it now than explain it to people 500 times because it's somewhat convoluted.

Getting that feedback addon installed should clear things up a bit.

Yeah I agree. I'm not a facebook user, so I really don't have a good understanding of the whole concept.
The thing that I can see as being useful though, is clicking the like button instead of adding a new post just to agree with something.
