Hi! I've been trying to acquire a Dyno Stretch Roadster. I've got one lined up but the seller is unable to pack it and two of his local bikes shops don't do that kind of service. I was hoping if someone lived in the area that I could pay them to pack it and ship it to me. If anyone is feeling this gracious please let me know or the deal will fall through. I appreciate your help. Thanks. Robert

what part of orange county?

You couldn’t have found a better fellow to handle this for you. The stuff Robert has sent me has always been packed very well. Overkill, actually.

Well I'll tell you want, I never would have started a thread like this on any other site. To me everyone helping each other is just one of the things that makes this the best bike site on the web. I'd like to send my opologies and my gratitude to chimi - I goofed and listed this as Orange County first and chimi responded immediately. It wasn't until he asked me where in the OC the bike was that I realized I was thinking of a different bike - I looked at a lot of them. I'm also very lucky I hooked up with someone that had experience packing a bike, and this is no walk in the park. I can't wait to stand it side by side with a CWC to see how much longer the frame is. Does anybody know what size chain and sprockets these take - 3/16s or 1/8th? All I have is skip tooth bikes. I appreciate everyones help, it makes the hobby so much more exciting. Thanks guys! Robert

Thanks Eric, for the compliment... or is it?
It didn't take you a long time to unwrap the Speedway, did it? :D

@ Robert, youll enjoy that roadster very much. I had my custom roadster for 6 years and rode it all the time. It was weird going back to a regular bike.

Sure it's a compliment. I have to keep you softened up for the day I ask you to pick one up for me.

Hey, I was drilling on that Speedway frame before you had it in the box.

You will LOVE your Dyno roadster. It's the only new bike I have in my fleet and it is insanely comfortable and feels like watching TV in a lazyboy when you are riding it! Don't get me wrong, i love my old bikes but the roadster is just a nice change on those days when you just want to be lazy riding instead of pushing those big skiptooth sprockets around. I put an extra wide set of beach bars on mine which are like 31" wide. Much better than the stock bars in my opinion. You get them at Choppers US I believe. Here's mine...

Nice bike Slick. with all this roadster talk im starting to miss my bike. The handlebars that are on Robert's bike look like yours, very wide and come back pretty far. They are also original, I didnt know Dyno made them that wide before.

Robert, you should show some pics of the starting condition of the bike. You have so many ways you could go with that bike that its a great bike to start with.

Here are some pics of my old roadster.

Hey Robert! You pretty well had it covered with your Dyno. Yours was where I would like to end up - Triple Tree Fork, 24" Multispeed Rear Wheel w/ 3" Tire and the Bobbed Duct Tail Fenders. My chrome isn't that pretty so I'm going to have more paint but you captured the "HOTNESS" of the Dyno Roadster. I like the plain black chain guard with just the logo versus all the trim paint they used on the early models like mine. Simplicity at it's finest. The frame pretty much spells that out. Great looking Dynos guys!
