Does Anyone on here know Jerry at Chestnut Hollow personally?

I have made a deal with Jerry (39Elgin) and am waiting impatiently for my parts to arrive. Maybe the issue is just living in a time when we expect items to arrive at our door in 3 days or less, while he lives in a world where taking a couple of weeks to ship is no issue at all. I do not want to air my laundry or besmudge anyones name at this time.... please p.m. me if you are close to Chestnut Hollow and know Jerry or have had issues getting parts.

Yeah horsefarmer, I'm glad your deal turned out o.k.! You know, I have no problem doing a friends and family payment with a number of members here that I consider my friends. I mean, why incur fees that eat into the funds of a good deal? So, after a couple of phone conversations with Jerry.....he is now one of my good bicycle buddies too!! When he asked for a f&f payment on the items I was buying, it only took a few seconds of deliberation to say....no problem, heck, the guy has a 100% rating on ebay. Now, 2 1/2 weeks later............here I sit......wondering????

If you haven't already. Go to you tube and type in chestnut hollow bicycles.....the video will blow you away! So much vintage steel!! That is Jerry's collection! He reproduces X-53 headlights and reflector housings, JC Higgins header pipes, and some other hard to find parts.

Oh, sorry. Cool video and fantastic bikes! Usually ebay sellers are quite responsive as they want to keep reputation... I know its possible for someone to hijack a ebay user id and run bogus auction. Make sure to communicate with ebay messages. maybe contact ebay itself. Did you buy off ebay or private. seems like F & F payment on ebay would be sketchy.

No, I contacted him direct. Hopefully he is taking time preparing the parts or just a slow shipper. Judging from his colllection of bikes, my $200 probably means alot more to me than it does to him.

I'm probably just worried for nothing. Not everyone can ship direct from work like I can. I am trying to get parts rounded up for my build off 11 bike. I will ready to fly into the build as soon as the start date gets here!!

Woohoo!! I got a package from Chestnut Hollow today! The castings look better that what he shows on ebay. These should clean up nicely, whether I chose to paint them or fully polish them. I guess that I am getting paranoid in my old age.
