Bought this in the spring. Spent all summer fixing stuff to make it driveable, as it sat for years before I got it. Finally got the brakes straightened out today (LONG story) and took it for a ride. Anyway, I love this thing!

Rat Rod said:I just joke with you because back when we lived in Michigan we would go to a ton of car shows and at just about every one there was always an old Nova or a Camaro that was this color and it was always 100% original and totally rust free. It became a running joke between my Dad and I about how that color was rust resistant.
Never thought about it, but you are completely right.Rat Rod said:I just joke with you because back when we lived in Michigan we would go to a ton of car shows and at just about every one there was always an old Nova or a Camaro that was this color and it was always 100% original and totally rust free. Nice stable! Who owns the red GT?
I think Mach's are great (obviously) but I would LOVE to have a Boss. Several years ago I had a chance to buy a yellow/balck Boss 302 but I just couldn't swing it then. It was cheap (not a steal) but we were only a few years into raising our kids and we were broke. And oh yes, just before my wife got pregnant with our first, I sold my '66 coupe. So I can appreciate the sacrifices you made too.
Rewarding to see your son drive a Stang too...that's cool! Surprised none of you own vintage cars though. I considered a newer one because I could have bought a Cobra or something of that nature, but the '69 Mach has always been my "attainable dream car". I mean, I would prefer a Boss or a Shelby, but who am I kidding.

The red '05 belongs to one of the members and the resident electronics and photography guru. Ric is a retired engineer from our local FM classic rock radio station (WTUE) here in Dayton. It's Procharged and very, very nice. Too much drama over the years killed the club and the web site...haven't seen most of the members in several years.
Both of my son's are into the local car/motorcycle scene. It is a great common bond and keeps us close as friends and family. My youngest son didn't really follow into the Mustang stuff. He's more into cutom motorcycles and low rider trucks and builds both.
Probably because of my job I have a real attraction to the technical side of the late model stuff. The Mustang is modified, but in a way to keep it stock looking to the casual observer.I do have several vintage car projects that I moth balled for now due to finances not being what they used to be. The Dayton economy is seriously hurting. I own a 1960 Ford F100 that is all late model drivetrain and a traditional, fenderless, Buick 401 nailhead powered model A hot rod project.....and it's just parts stored here and there at my house and my son's place.
Your '69 is a beautiful car.....now I know why you haven't been around as much lately.
