Hello all, so I am in the middle of my first real project it's a Schwinn Racer I picked up for next to nothing. The goal is trying to create an old cyclocross/klunker look the bike has great patina and so far is coming together very easily. My question is; I want to get rid od the quill stem and replace it with a modern style mountain bike set up I have some pretty cool steer tubes and stuff like that. How do I do it or is that possible? Any help or pictures is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
