As I was passing one of my local Hot Rod Shops yesterday I spied some old bikes out back so I stopped by to inquire today. He wanted to keep the bikes but let me rummage around for some parts. I picked up a rough Monark mens frame, a nicely patinaed Special Cruiser chain guard, A ladies Monark sprocket, a JC Higgins wheel sporting a skip tooth finned hub, and another wheel with a Goodyear Speedway tire to complete my pair.

I kinda drive my wife nuts when I am driving anywhere. I am always looking for a wheel sticking out of a scrap pile, a glint of chrome sticking out of high grass, or a bike being allowed to slowly rust away in the name of Lawn Art!
