I was sitting at Sonic having a cherry limeaide and a fat man in a yellow Dodge Viper drove by. Now, this is not my dream car, but I'm hoping this man had the money to get it that it is his dream car. The Viper didn't impress me, but I was thinking, if I had the opportunity to own my dream car, but I'd have to give up my bikes and riding, would I do it? I quickly answered myself with a no.

What about you?

The thing is, it's probably best that your dream cars stay dreams, I'd rather be awake and riding my bicycles than worrying about a dream turning into a nightmare.

All my dream-cars have a trunk big enough to hold my bike. 8)

Problem solved.

I only have one bike - so far - but maybe it's because I've been without a car for at least a month; but I could easily see myself giving up a car to keep riding.

As long as it was the right bike.... :D

Ask me again in a few hours, however.... :p

My theoretical question doesn't involve you only having bikes, just asks if you'd be willing to give up bikes and riding for whatever your dream car might be.

I have no obsession over my car/truck. It is a mostly a transportation appliance to me. As long as it gets me to the ski hill, lake and pulls a trailer, I don't need much.

OK, now I'm asking those of you who actually *have* a dream car.

i have already owned my dream car. it quickly turned into a nightmare. 1965 lincoln continental. exactly like the one in "the matrix". i think i'll stick to my schwinn project.

Yeah it's easy to get in over your head with a restoration. My first car (1970 Mustang Mach One) me and my uncle built from the ground up and I can't begin to tell you how many long hours went into it.

not too hard at all. considering a quality paint job runs about 7k and an engine rebuild by a trusted mechanic can run several thousand as well. one of the reasons i'm liking the bike building thing.

That's why I'm building this! My dream car. That way I can have the best of both worlds. Dream car ~~~ bikes in the back. So, I guess I wouldn't give up bikes totally, but might thin out the herd. This thing would be finished if I didn't spend all my extra cash on bikes & bike parts! Gotta have both, but it will just take me longer to get there!
