Hey good people,
Once again I'm reaching out to the collective knowledge base here.
I'm looking for a cool 'kickstand' for my bobber build and want either a 'double leg' or a dropstand. The two-legged varieties seem to hang too low when in the 'up' position, so I'm leaning towards the dropstand.

Here's my question:
I've only seen them installed with a full fender, I'm going with either a bobbed one, or none. The question is, how far will a dropstand 'swing' up and connect into it's hanger? I would like to swing it 180 degrees or more. Going fender-less and hooking it into the brake/fender mount would be ideal.

I hope I'm making sense with this request.

As always, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

what about an axle mount "regular" type??

The answer is it depends… Not all dropstands are the same and not all are attached the same way. In most cases the pivot pont for the dropstand is below the axel so as you rotate the stand up it may eventually arc into the tire or foul on the axel nuts. If you fabricate an add-on drop stand attachment plate you may be able to work around these issues.

there are repro dropstands that are spring loaded wich holds them up with out fender

look into that
