When I was a kid we'd take an old inner tube with a big hole in it and patch it with duct tape. Then we would pump it up until it popped. Gets about the size of a truck tire before it goes.

Sound like a good idea. Since now we dnt only have the grey/ silver color, I've seen all kinds of colored duct tape, black is my favorite.lol

I have seen people make wallets, jackets, dresses, shoes...there's endless possibilities. Good luck on this one.

Actually my son was my motivation for the idea, he makes Duct tape wallets and sells them for 10 bucks. Boy is getting a pretty fat bank account! I borrowed a dollar from him for a pop today even! lol

So what are u thinking, wrap the frame in duct tape? Or build a frame and instead of welds use duct tape to hold it together until it gives?
HAHAHAHA, Wrapping the frame. Would be a great way to fix an ugly bike too!

Yeah wrapping it would b a good alternative to paint. Not only would it b different but you wouldn't have to worry about getting the paint scratched or chipped off. You should definetly do something man id like to see it.

Did a big swapmeet this jan. and a little kid with a wallet made out of duct tape was one of my best customers !

i use duck tape (or gaffa tape as we call it over here) to fix everything! ripped seats holding brake cables on my chain at one point  i had tape grips at one point didnt work so well

i like the idea of wraping the frame with it though you spalsh paint on the frame wrap it then cut small tears/slots into it to let the colour come through

We did the same thing, using an old refrigerator compressor. It would take hours to pop the tube, usually during dinner with everyone around the table. Boom!

I`ve seen the frame covered in duct tape lots of times...usually disguising a good bike that`s used as a commuter. Amazing how junky something can look with a few wraps of tape! We call `em "Red Green limited editions".... :D

I think what I'm going to do is a duct tape gender reassignment to the old Ross girls frame I use as my winter bike. Chunk of PVC pipe and duct tape, instant man ride! :p I am in the middle of packing for our move so I will get on this as soon as we get settled in. Think this could be fun! Was at Menard's today and could not decide what color to go with. I'm actually thinking of getting some bright neon colors just to be different, and stand out in the crowd!
