anyone have info on dyno serial numbers by year,i have a burnished cinnamon one I just got today with a serial number stamped under crank that starts with MT007,im in Minnesota guy said he bought it when he was still in California bout ten years ago :?:

I've had 3 Dynos, and have read a lot about the numbers. I have a 98 and had 2 99's. The best guess seems to be that the first digit is the last number of the year, making yours a 2000 model.
Ive heard (on here) its the second number is year.
So urs is still a 2000.
But ive got 3 dynos and according to serials all 3 are 2000's, so not sure about #'s deal?

MT007 - the first 0 may mean the year 2000, then the next 07 the month of July, the next 5 digits (not specified, but probably around 02,xyz) might indicate the number of cruisers produced by that time of year.
Under the left hand grip, may also be a YY.MM code on dyno handlebars.
