I'm stripping the remains of an AMF Junior-built convertible bicycle right now. The bike was a Hawthorne and was my step-dad's first bike in 1964/65. I think they only started making them a few years earlier in '59 or so. The bike is beyond fixable imo. I'm able to slavage the rear wheel, chain ring and crank (bearings are good), chaingaurd, kickstand, and the master link for that tiny chain. Oh, and the small seat post clamp too. I am about take some stuff to the crusher, I'm hoping either this weekend or next week at the latest. Is the frame worth anything to anybody here? Its full of pits and needs bondo. I'm gonna guess its scrap. If anybody wants the parts I'm taking off, let me know.

Re: EARLY AMF Junior Convertible value GOING TO BE CRUSHED

Parts are going on eBay and the wrecked remains are in the junk pile.

Geez, I got a crushed '74 Raleigh and now a '67 Hawthorne and a 70's Murray Muscle Bike on death row. I'm on a roll!
