Early Bicycle Light

Columbia Model C automatic. found this online for a good price so I had to pick it up. I'm going to use it on my Excelsior Michigan city built bike. Its a late teens/early 20s bike. It has the glass and the green and red gems. Looks pretty complete to me.

Now that's old. That's probably a carbide lamp. Don't blow yourself up using it...if you can even find carbide anymore.

Haha yeah, as much as I'd like it to work as it originally did. I'm probably just going to mount a battery operating flickering tea light candle in it.

Never thought of that but it beats getting blown up. Gary
