early seat setup?

I have this early seat, and I understand the mechanics of the front hardware even though they are missing. I'm sure I could rig up something to stretch the front that is close to how it should work. The mounting hardware is a bit of a mystery to me, though. I'm hoping someone can show pics of a similar seat so I can see what I should aspire to recreate with things I already have. Thanks for some help.

I'm guessing there would be a nut on the front and back so the screw doesn't pull forward as well. I'm also looking for what the seat clamp situation would look like to hold the seat to the seatpost. The rails on this seat are flat stock rather than round stock and are single rail style

The seat clamp set-up should be similar to a single rail (round) brooks. You may be able to fashion a clamp from a springer seat that has flat rails. I can get some pics from both for you tomarrow if you want.
