East Coast Events Needed!

Anybody have any info on East Coast events? If it's in the NJ/Philly area I'll put it up on my team website http://www.teamterrapinbikeclub.webs.com I hate reading about a cool upcoming event only to find out it's 1000 miles away or more...

There was a 2nd annual Samaritan Hospice Car and Bike show in June here in Cherry Hill, and I got all excited cause my bud thought it meant "bicycles". Sure enough it was for 'motor'cycles. Good news is i know the event planner and he said next year he'd add a bicycles category "just for me" . :mrgreen: They had like 250 muscle cars and a few rat rods and some cool custom choppers. I really screwed up and didn't even ride my rat bike over to the show .

If I remind him next year and pitch the idea of getting a bicycle category, would any of you local Rats be willing to participate? I don't have any experience in bike shows, but since this show gives out prizes, I was thinking maybe 3 categories of bikes? Like 'stock', 'muscle bike', and 'Rat Rod" ?

Here'a another idea i was thinnking about. We here in south jersey can bring our bikes down to Atlantic City on the AC railine which runs from Lindenwold to AC. It's really for the old folks and casino workers

I thought it'd be cool if some of us could meet up on the train, bring our bikes down and ride the boardwalk up til 10 AM. Then we could cruise over to say, Margate and have lunch (beers too?) at the Greenhouse next to Lucy the big elephant.

i had past event in the event section .
sundays theres a bar in Lansdale PA called third and walnut and for a small fee of 7 dollars from 7:30-when ever they stop the music you can see a really good rockabilly band , its a nice bar, pool tables, shuffle board,darts, tables etc .

so i thought why not ride bikes around from 4 till the show starts theres wide smooth roads lots of things to look at , parks around pizza shops to eat at etc .. so thats my rockabilly ride

Used to go to the Blue Comet before they closed, glad to see another place is pickin' up the slack. I'll have to give it a go.
