Hi

I am thinking of buying this bike second hand it's - "Electra Rally Sport Custom Bicycle"

Im thinking of getting it and customising it, is it a good choice to do this, what do people think of these bikes?

Electra is a great company. And looking at that set up, it's practically customized already!

Just my opinoin but those are some of the coolest looking factory frames to come out in a while (though they are not made anymore) I've seen some pretty cool trikes made from those frames too that would make your jaw drop, I would grab it just because I've never had one :mrgreen:

Price wise, well im in the UK... these type of bikes, and all the bikes I seem to like seem more expensive and harder to find than I think they are in the USA.

This one is working out at about $192, it's secondhand/used but looks in good condition

Price sounds fair to me, they were usually anywhere from $320 - 370 back when they were new here in the states

$192.00 US is a pretty good price. Asking prices for a used single speed RSC are around $175.00 in my neck of the woods. The one in your pic looks like a 3 speed... even better.

Electra has a good reputation for quality and they make a gazzilion parts for customizing. What you're looking at already had some nice parts on it. Easy-peezey to make this one a cool custom.

Managed to actually get it at the equivalent of $136 USD in the end !!! with a spare saddle too
