Ok, so I got this Elgin frame, fork and truss rods over on the CABE ($140 shipped, seemed like a good deal coming from over there?), the plan was to paint the thing OD for a quasi-clone Army bike... Well I pulled it out of the box when it arrived, it's no show piece paint job but it was still too nice to strip and paint OD green. Put a seat I got from Kid Kyle here on the forums, reupholstered in this super soft tan glove leather and BAM! One BA Beach Bomber! Since I'd been pondering a full one period correct Klunker build (then I saw what those Atom drum brake hubs are going for!), figured may as well slap on the MTB down hill bars. Rides nice, turns heads... it's a keeper, at least for a while! Only current addition planned is a chain guard, cause I have a few of them now, just don't know which one?
