Quite honestly, you'll have to hit a vintage automobile swap meet and look for the guys selling early Ford (1928-1938) parts. Everything (except the homemade mounting bracket) started as mechanical brake parts.

I'll try to get a "how-to" thread in the main forum soon...just don't hold your breath, it might be a couple days....
