Farm Fresh Western Flyer X-53

[American Vintage Bicycle Supply]

Found on Saturday.
I broke it down, cleaned regressed and clear coated all afternoon Sunday and now it's one heck of a rider.

This one was truly farm fresh

This one will stick around for a while. At least until I find one in better shape (probably won't). This is one of my "Grail" 50's balloon tire bikes.

I love the tank those air scoops down the side of it are awesome . Great job cleaning it up can see why it your "GRAIL"

I agree with you and Tank on this being a great design and Grail bike. You have a knack for finding the perfect patina examples too. I love those old decals on the tank and guard too.

the only things that are missing are the extremely impossible to find jet headlight and the unbelievably unobtainable horizontal rear reflector.

Thing is, there was a girl's version for sale at one of our swap meets last year (the one where my daughter took a 'header' into a tree..... ). It was complete, light, rear reflector, everything......

Awesome bike and on my list as well. Some bikes are just flat out cool designs. The X53 is right up there with the Super Cruisers in my opinion
