This was supposed to be my daughter's project, with me advising along the way. I had a Gravity beach cruiser in sad shape that she wanted to fix up and paint red. The one of her co-workers got fired and she had all the extra hours. So I wound up with the project. It is going to her boyfriend for Christmas. I was tempted to keep the alloy wheels and swap in some cheap ones, but I went ahead and kept it all lightweight like it came. The shop had to true up the rear wheel, it needed 10 spokes. Someone had kicked them in which is why I got the bike for 10 bucks. I added Kenda flames which I got on sale for 5 bucks each. So with paint and everything added up, I've got about $85 invested. I still have the fancy stem that I will sell to recoup some of that.
