Father in law recently brought this Scrambler from Albuquerque to Phoenix and wanted his grandson (my son) to have this bike since he knew I rebuild old Schwinn's. The bike was bought new in the 70's for his son's. What a cool bike

I would do as your father-in-law intended and let him ride it. Yes it is a nice survivor but it wont' fall apart with some riding. Just show your son the proper treatment for bikes and always store inside(garage).
