well..just for reference..if thats a 2 speed nd(you didnt say if the hub was) those can fetch some serious coin....ive seen them go for anywhere between $200-$300 consistently on bike sites(i dont know what theyd go for on ebay but im sure itd be more  ).....
great score

thanx guyz ! yes sensor it is a nd hub and it works great , :D never even knew these things existed before ? great suprize, smooth sailing cant belive how good this old thing rides ,and i think RatRod misunderstood about the purchase price, it was the previous owner that paid thee 65 bucks ,i paid a little more  but still well worth it :?: and i gave up one of my favorites to pay for this treasure .

AS,

Great bike, nice patina. Something doesn't look right with the chainguard. That is a post war guard and if i am not mistaken that was used on Roadmasters. I have 2 of these guards and had two more. If they are the full enclosed in tha back that is an indication they are from 1946 - 1949 afte which they decided that they didn't need to be fully enclosed and left the back piece off. In any case it doesn't cover the sprocket symetrically which means it is not original (my guess) or it is not mounted correctly.

Do you have any closer pics of the brake drum up front and the reflector out back? It seems to be a really early bike.

ya you no joe , the gaurd was the first thing that caught my attention ,just becuase it just dos.nt sit on the bike right ! and the dude i got it from, mentioned how it rubbed everytime you pedal,i thought i once had a newer westernflyer that had the same gaurd ,and it was newer,

Here's the pic,s you guyz requested ! the reflector reads do-ray,made of glass,i think i might try too spin it so it reads right , :? and as for the front brake

nice looking bike for sure !!!

how does the built in front brake work ? what kind of hub is it ?

the brake dos'nt seem to work, when i hold the lever on the hub itself the wheel still spins freely! and i need to do some research and find the right hand lever for it !

I thought the little stem on the forks held a light or something??? I would've never guess that they went to a springer.... Cool.. I'll shoot you a pic to see infact their the same. NICE BIKE again.
